Have you ever tried to read the novel Requiem for a Dream? If so, you will know the genius behind the author. Hubert Selby Jr is a man who broke the rules in the most fantastic of ways! Requiem is written in a form of non-stop stream of consciousness style that shapes the experience of the reader… it perfectly captures the style of what’s happening to the characters. While reading it, you become frantic… I know I did, anyway. His pace is brilliant in juxtaposition to his story.
