The blog novel I am writing with Trish Stewart is one step closer to the finish line. I posted chapter 6 this morning. You can read the novel at: YOURS, MINE… OURS
I’m now discovering how hard this is. It’s hard to pinpoint what is hard about it though. I guess it’s that you get a momentum going and you have to stop and wait…
I’m constantly amazed by Trish’s writing and feel hard-put to follow her chapters. I don’t want to take anything in a direction that she doesn’t want to go in, but since we don’t discuss what happens next it’s all blind guessing. It’s hard… but this process also makes it exhilarating! And it’s a constant joy working with Trish, who is a fabulous writer.

Interesting concept–I know writers who collaborate, even blindly as you two are, yet none that are posting on their blog. That’s pretty brave. I’m never happy with my chapters until I’ve scrutizied them to death first through many, many overall novel edits. Posting by chapters, you don’t have the same luxury.
Best of luck!
I’ve been amazed at this process too. It is very difficult, but so much fun. Now perhaps when we get the first draft done and all blogged in it’s first-draft-ugliness, we can do our edits and rewrites on the blog for all to see as well. =)
I don’t want to take anything in a direction you don’t want to go and have felt guilty for painting you in corners with unanswered questions knowing that you have to clean up the plot messes I make. We are challenged, but loving every minute of it, Right!
I’ve never known a first draft to be this challenging, but I’m having a blast.
Thanks for asking me to do this with you!
