For those of you who write humorous haiku—senryu—have I got the contest for you!
Check out the fantabulously awesome Writing Fairy®! She’s up to her old ‘almost yearly’ humor writing contests again. This time, you have to scratch her funny bone with a funny haiku. What’s in it for you? First… the thrill of scratching a very funny lady’s funny bone. Second… $100 if you come in first place.
A senryu is very similar to haiku… but it focuses on human nature as opposed to nature…think satire.
Write your funny senryu in 5-7-5 fashion. (That’s syllable counts per line for those of you who are not aware) and enter it into the contest for your chance to win.
Deadline for submissions is 11:59pm EST Monday September 15, 2008.
